Miami Beach & Miami have been chosen to host the World Out Games in 2017, announced Daniel Vaudrin, president of the Gay and Lesbian International Sports Association. Vaudrin made the announcement during the selection ceremony in Antwerp, Belgium, site of the 2013 World Outgames.  This will mark the first time that the World Outgames has been held in the United States.

The 2017 World Out Games will be held Friday, May 26 through Sunday, June 4, 2017.

Schedule of Events

“We are extremely honored that GLISA chose Miami Beach-Miami for the 2017 World Outgames.  This is a major leap forward for our community,” said Bruce Townsend, co-chair of the Miami Beach-Miami Sports and Cultural League, the 13-member volunteer coalition that entered the bid on behalf of the cities. “This experience has been unbelievable for our team and we are grateful to represent Miami Beach and Miami for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.  We are ecstatic about being able to showcase Miami Beach and Miami on this world stage.”

Florida's Best Clothing Optional Gay Men's Resorts

Life in the tropics is all about beating the heat. And what better way cool off than to hang out poolside without clothing? Florida has dozens of clothing optional resorts, but which ones are the best? Here's the Mark's List take on the 5 best (in no particular order).

In Key West check out New Orleans House and Island House. New Orleans House is located on Duval Street, right in the middle of all of the action. You can count on a great time poolside or in Key West's biggest Gay nightclub, Bourbon Street Pub. Island House is located on a quieter side street and offers amazing rooms, many of them opening onto the pool and patio. There's also an amazing pool side cafe serving up some of the best food (and libations) on the Island. In Fort Lauderdale, we suggest you get your Gay clothing optional groove on at The Grand Resort and Spa, which offers an upscale atmosphere with amenities that include spa services, poolside cabana bars and plenty of tanning lotion to keep your booty from burning. In Central Florida you can head out into the woods and catch some all over rays at the Sawmill Camping Resort. Sawmill offers cabins and plenty of places to park RVs or pitch tents. There's also a large heated pool, a dance hall, restaurant, several themed bars and plenty of trails to go "hiking" on.

Laverne Cox and Sara Gilbert Move to 'Weird City'

Jordan Peele is, how they say, on a roll. From Get Out to the upcoming Us, to the planned Twilight Zone reboot: if he touches it, people want to see it. And now he’s working on a new series for YouTube Premium called Weird City, alongside Key and Peele’s  Emmy-nominated writer Charlie Sanders. The premise is comedic sci-fi, and it’ll be an anthology series, which means lots of one-off guest stars. Cast so far are people like Sara Gilbert, Ed O’Neill, Rosario Dawson, Michael Cera, LeVar Burton, Dylan O’Brien and Laverne Cox, all in as-yet-unknown combinations and storylines. Six episodes are coming later this year to YouTube Premium – in case you didn’t know that existed, you’re welcome – so you’ve got some time to learn how to throw it from your phone to your TV.

Eric Leonardos Talks Life After ‘Finding Prince Charming’

The final episode of Finding Prince Charming began with bachelor Robert telling the remaining three suitors, Brandon, Eric and Dillon, that while in college he became an escort for many years. Looking back I still haven’t figured out why Robert kept Dillon around for so long. Dillon even realized that his connection with Robert wasn’t very strong, which ultimately led to his departure.

For the last few weeks leading up to the finale the chemistry between Brandon and Robert was palpable. I thought for sure he would be the one Robert picked, but I was wrong as Robert picked Eric. We caught up with Eric Leonardos to talk about his time on Finding Prince Charming and what's ahead for him. Read the full interview: Eric Leonardos Talks Life After ‘Finding Prince Charming’

Adult Film Star Rocco Steele Tackles HIV Stigma

Although research and support for the HIV/AIDS community has come a long way since the 80s and 90s, a great deal of ignorance and stigma still exists—even within the gay community. With celebrities such as Charlie Sheen and Danny Pintauro (Who’s the Boss?) recently bringing HIV/AIDS into the entertainment headlines, perhaps now is the perfect time for a new, more enlightened conversation on the subject.

Mark’s List spoke with adult film star Rocco Steele, who has experienced his fair share of ups and downs with addiction and living with HIV.  He has, however, used these personal experiences as a catalyst to promote HIV awareness and education.
