Moore Building in Miami, FL
Please note: The Haring exhibtion has ended. We'll let you know when more is going on at the Moore building.
Haring Miami will celebrate the extraordinary contributions to the art world by renowned Graffiti artists featuring the work of Haring and friends. This first of its kind exhibit will take place March 6th-10th 2013 in Miami's own architectural gem, The Moore Building. Haring Miami will feature one of the largest collections of works from the period ever assembled.
Haring is one of the most well-known and iconic artists of the 20th century whose influences contributed to what has now become a worldwide phenomenon with fellow artists in his circle such as Angel Ortiz (LA II), Delta II and others. By hieroglyphically expressing concepts of death, birth, war, and sex, their imagery has become one of the most widely recognized visual languages of the 20th century. This exhibition will provide viewers with an unparalleled exposure to these unique artists on a scale unavailable to the general public.
The Moore Building is the perfect location for such an exhibition due to its location in the heart of Miami's famed Design District. It has been host to many top events including Dali Miami 2012; a world class collection of Salvador Dali. The truly unique building boasts four floors of arcaded spaces, totaling more than 28,000 square feet and features a sculptural element created by architect Zaha Hadid which adorns the center of the building.
