Chord Overstreet Stars in '4th Man Out,' Opens Friday

4th Man Out, which hits theaters Friday, Feb 5th,  stars Parker Young (“Arrow”), Evan Todd (“Switched at Birth”), Kate Flannery (“The Office”), Chord Overstreet (“Glee”) and Jon Gabrus (“Comedy Bang! Bang!”). A hilarious mash-up of man-child and coming-out comedies, the film examines a small-town, blue-collar guy who lets his friends know he's gay - and what happens when they try to help him find a boyfriend. Both brashly funny and daring in its exploration of the kind of gay man we rarely see on the big screen, the film enjoyed a run at the Seattle Film Festival and also played at Outfest where it won “Best Dramatic Feature” as well as Toronto’s Inside Out where it was awarded “Best Narrative Feature.” For more information about the movie, go to: 4thmanout.com.

Mark Segal Calling Out Insensitive, Anti-Semitic Protest

In case you missed it, controversy started brewing last week during the National LGBTQ Task Force Creating Change Conference. In an effort to quell growing protests from pro-Palestinian groups, the Task Force canceled an event sponsored by the Israeli LGBT group, A Wider Bridge. After backlash, they quickly reinstated the event, but the protesters stormed it, banging on walls of the hotel and causing hotel staff to call the police as the protesters took to the stage and refused to let the Israeli guests speak.

Take a look at this article by our friend Mark Segal, Publisher of Philadelphia Gay News. Segal, who recently published his memoir ¨And Then I Danced,¨ has been an LGBT activist since he was at the Stonewall in NYC the night the riots broke out. He is a Jewish gay man who points out that protesters at the events last week ignore the fact that Palestine outlaws homosexuality and it´s punishable there by death. Take a look at his column on EPGN.com and feel free to share you thoughts about this on our Facebook page.
