Authentic
Italian dinners served in a romantic Italian setting. The Vitale family
has owned
and operated La Trattoria since 1984. You've probably heard this
used before and found it not to be so true, but you can believe it, this is where the locals dine. Start your dinner at La Trattoria off in true Italian style with some of the best Brushetta we've ever had. The Carpacio (thin sliced beef with capers, onions, lemon, truffle oil and parmesan cheese) is also great. There are also a number of salads that hit the spot including a traditional Caesar and a mixed vegetable salad that goes by the name of Insalata Mista.
I have also tried the Lasagne Bolognese and I believe it is the best I have ever had. On another visit to La Trattoria I had the Bistecca el Pepe, which I absolutely assure you was perfectly prepared. For
an entree, we enjoyed the Spaghetti al Pomodoro con Basilico, aka
traditional spaghetti without meat in the sauce. We didn't try the
Bolognese (meat sauce) but with the Pomodoro sauce as divine as it
was, we see no reason to think that the Bolognese wouldn't be just as
tasty. The menu also includes several dishes made with penne pasta, egg
plant and seafood.
