Cha Cha Coconuts food is billed as Caribbean, however we find it to be a little more traditional American with a Caribbean twist. But then, American food is as much a melting pot of world culture as our heritage, right?

So anyway, for starters we love the Calypso Chicken Wings served with "Calypso" (jerk sauce).  We also like the Chicken Tenders that come with a  a coconut mustard sauce. You might also have them bring a cup of the BBQ jerk sauce that the wings are served with as well. Other starters include black beans and rice, soups and salads.

For lunch, the Cuban Sandwich is a best bet. We also really like the grilled Lime Grouper Sandwich made with garlic- lime juice and ground black pepper and the Montego Bay Chicken Sandwich that is made with barbecue sauce topped with bacon and melted cheddar cheese. There are eight or nine burgers on the menu, but the Divi Divi with sautéed mushrooms, onions and Swiss cheese and the Cha Cha Cha topped with black bean chili and cheddar cheese really stand out as the tastiest.

For dinner, the Tropical Mahi Mahi, grilled and topped with a tropical mango and tomato salsa is fantastic. We also like Brazilian Citrus Chicken marinated and grilled in a citrus mango marinade as well as the Voodoo Ribs, lean pork ribs marinated and slow cooked in a guava barbecue sauce made from a recipe originally from the Blue Mountains of Jamaica. Most of the dinners come with yellow rice and beans, but you can also substitute fries (we warned you this was still American).

You'll also find a nice selection of dinner sized salads and for dessert, snap up a piece of Key Lime Pie. You'll enjoy Cha Cha Coconuts.
