Largest Gay and Lesbian Artist Showcase Opens

ArtsUnited's signature event ArtExplosion opens on March 19, 2005
from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at 1350 East Sunrise Blvd, Fort Lauderdale. The
unique combination of a Visual Art Exhibit Opening Reception, comedy,
authors' book signings, poetry reading, live music, dance and vocal
performances makes ArtExplosion a must-see event!
A Silent Art Auction has been added to opening night this year. The
very popular (adults only) Erotic Art Exhibit will also be on display
this one night only! Brian McNaught, author of Sex Camp, is one
of six published authors featured. "Lipstick Lesbian Speaks" will
provide comic relief, while Tropic Harmony adds some of the music.
Admission to Opening Night is by $5 donation to ArtsUnited at the door.
This event is made possible through the generous support of Dudes Bar,
Stork's Las Olas, The Independent, Express South Florida
and Jimmies Chocolates.
The Visual Art Exhibit representing the works of 70 local
photographers, painters and sculptors will be on display in the JM
Family Enterprises Gallery through April 15, 2005. Admission is free to
the general public beginning March 21st.
