In Yes Man, Carl Allen (Jim Carrey) is challenged to say yes to everything that comes his way in his life for one whole year, leading to a series of comic events. The film is based on the true story and 2005 biography 'Yes Man' by British humorist Danny Wallace.

After Killing seven people in a an automobile accident, An IRS agent (Will Smith) embarks on an extraordinary journey of redemption by forever changing the lives of seven strangers. The movie's name, Seven Pounds is a reference to something Will Smith's character gives (we know, but we're not giving it away) in return for his atonement. The movie has been compared to The Sixth Sense for it's surprise reveal.

Nothing But The Truth is a 2008 thriller written and directed by Rod Lurie. The story centers on a female newspaper reporter (Kate Beckinsale) who outs a CIA agent and is imprisoned for refusing to reveal her source. Actor David Schwimmer plays Beckinsale's husband and Angela Bassett is the supportive editor in chief at the Washington newspaper where Beckinsale’s character works. Actor Noah Wyle portrays the lawyer placed in charge of defending her. The cast includes Matt Dillon as the prosecutor, Vera Farmiga as the CIA agent, and Alan Alda as the attorney who tries to free the reporter from jail.

Nothing but the Truth parallels the case of Valerie Plame, whose status as a CIA agent was exposed in the media after her husband, Ambassador Joe Wilson, wrote a New York Times op-ed piece charging the Bush administration with manipulating intelligence to justify the invasion of Iraq.

Klaatu himself already has a negative opinion of humans, and when detained by Regina Jackson, the United States Secretary of Defense, and barred from speaking to the United Nations, he decides they shall be exterminated so the planet – with its rare ability to sustain complex life – can survive. Dr. Helen Benson (Jennifer Connelly) and her stepson Jacob (Jaden Smith) finally convince Klaatu humans are
