Gay Austrian fashion reporter Bruno is fired from his show after disrupting a catwalk show during Milan Fashion week. Accompanied by his assistant Lutz, he travels to the United States to become a superstar. After a pilot of a celebrity interview show bombs with a test audience, he attempts to become famous via various methods. After a split from Lutz and social services taking away his baby, he decides to re-make himself as a heterosexual. In the climax of the movie, a now-heterosexual Bruno hosts a cage-fight match. However, when Lutz appears, they rekindle their love. The final scene shows a now-famous Brüno, together with Lutz their child. Over the closing credits, Brüno records a charity song with celebrities such as Bono (from U2), Elton John, Snoop Dogg, Sting and Slash (from Guns 'N Roses). |
