Ten Word Review:
Lighthearted little thought required movie with a message about friends.

Three Sentence Synopsis:
The House Bunny is kicked out of the Playboy Mansion because she's too old. She finds a new life as a sorority House Mother and attempts to transform seven ugly ducklings into swans. Will she succeed?

When you have the creators of Scary Movie and the Adam Sandler’s Happy Gilmore production team you are not going to get serious drama, you are going to get laughs, giggles, and more laughs.  The House Bunny is the heartwarming story of Shelly Darlingson who grew up basically unwanted in a Midwestern orphanage only to blossom from an ugly duckling into a gorgeous swan.  As a swan she flew into The Playboy Mansion with all the benefits, privileges, and parties only to be kicked out possibly for being too old.  While homeless and skill-less, she uses her natural talents to walk into a job as House Mother of a local college’s failing sorority and transforms seven Ugly Ducklings into truly beautiful Swans both inside and out.

Anna FarisFans of Anna Faris and her movies will love this movie.  If you have seen at least one of the reviews and you did not laugh or you think you will not like it—don’t see it.  I will guarantee you antics, hysterics, and madcap adventures in a style that can only be brought to you by Anna Faris.  When Shelly is (Anna Faris) teaching the girls how to pick up a man ala Marilyn Monroe in The Seven Year Itch or how to throw the perfect Aztec party (with Easter Island heads), you can’t help but laugh.  This is not a thinking movie.  When Shelly is doing make-overs, don’t ask where she got the cosmetics, lights, and money for wardrobes.  Enjoy the music, whether it is The Pussycat Dolls or Jennifer Lopez you will find yourself dancing and cheering in your seat.

Anna Faris The House BunnyThe cast is amazing with American Idol’s Katherine McPhee as Harmony, Colin Hanks as Shelly’s love interest Oliver, Rumer Willis as Joanne as well as Beverly D’Angelo as the rival House Mother to Hugh Hefner and The Girls Next Door.  The ultimate transformations of each girl to attract attention around campus were inevitable and fun to watch. As in other makeover movies like Clueless and Miss Congeniality the transformation leads to a new found confidence, slow motion We’re Hot campus walk, and an overall new look like in Mean Girls. It is funny to see as the movie goes on that everyone learns life lessons, who they really are, and that when the chips are down—you can really count on your sisters.
