Prom Night Go See it
****(Four Stars)
Prom
Night was really scary, that is if you can imagine you are a
high school student and the best night of your senior year
ends with a fire drill and some of the students missing.
[Insert high pitched scream here]
This
director was obviously targeting a young audience; people
that might be at risk of a ruined prom night. The director,
Nelson McCormick, who also
directed hit TV shows like ER and Nip Tuck, did a great job
of capturing your attention while keeping it a PG-13 film.
With that rating he gave you as much cleavage as he could
without any breast exposure, no sex scenes and not very much
blood. He left everything to your imagination.
The
young damsel in distress, Donna (Brittany
Snow), was actually quite brilliant and
believable in her role, much different than that when she
payed the stuck up Amber Von Tussle in last years
Hairspray. The Villain,
Richard (Johnathon
Schaech), was wicked hot (either that or I'm
really attracted to the bad guys) and I'm going to have to
pay much more attention to him in the near future, yumm.
Actually there were several really hot guys in this film,
that alone makes it worth going to see. Say hello to
Scott Porter,
Kellan Lutz, and
Kevin Gould for me.
Yes
Prom Night is cliche and predictable. Yes Prom Night is
made for a general audience much like Television. Yes this
movie is fun. No it was not that scary, but if you want to
go night out you will enjoy this film.
