The Good Shepherd
Don't Bother
to go see this movie, it was horrible and I should also add
it was 3 hours of horrible. You know its not a good sign
when you keep looking at your watch and wishing this movie
was over.
Honestly, I
hate that I have to give this a bad rating for I truly love
Angelina Jolie, who
played Clover/Margaret the wife of a C.I.A. Agent
Wilson. However she was barely in this movie, just a little
more than a cameo. I also love Matt
Damon, who played her husband Edward Wilson, but
he was completely lack luster in this role. His face never
moved the entire movie and when he and
Angelina were together
there was absolutely no chemistry, and their awkwardness
spilled over into the audience.
Yes I love a
good spy thriller and or an intense mystery, but even though
this film had many chess games going on at once it was
moving at an extremely tired and slow pace. To make
matters worse they jump all over time lines from the 40's to
the 60s and back and forth and back and forth to the point
that you don't really know what is present and what was
past. I did start to really get into the investigation of
the photograph. But even with that they had to jump back
and forth to and from. Not to mention the entire movie
they are talking in double talk and never explaining a word
of it. Some of the phrases you can interpret or what they
might mean and where others you have no idea what it means.
Like "the rocking chair is sleeping." OK thanks? Whatever
that means.
OK... now for
the important stuff.....Yes even though this was a horrible
movie it was an important movie. This was a film trying to
out the American government and expose the conspiracy theory
of how America works. The entire movie was about how
American's make up enemies to keep the white strong man in
power. Even the guy that created the C.I.A. was kicked out
because he was Catholic, and he was ok with that they were
following his vision. The man that took his place made sure
that Congress could not control or run the C.I.A. therefore
making them a sole surviving organism, self maintaining,
living, breathing and existing on its own. Thus the reason
this film was made, to expose them.
OK I got
it... but could you please make it interesting?
With the cast
they have, they will get their message out to masses, it
worked on me. However if I didn't have to watch the entire
film to review it... I would have left in the first hour.
Basically all
I have to say is this movie was slow, and confusing, and
boring. I understand if you wanna see every movie with
Angelina Jolie or
Matt Damon in it my
only suggestion is to wait till it comes on video. The
good news is when you do see it... there are some really
hot guys in this film, especially in the skulls secret
society.
ps. - Side
Note/ Questioin - Did Eddie
Redmayne who played
Angelina's son Edward
Wilson, Jr. get his lips done before he was cast for this
role or after? I mean did he get them done to look more
like her, or did they cast him because they were done?
Hmmm...I'd really like to know. |
