Bridge to Terabithia Go
See it ****(Four Stars)
This is an
amazing Children's movie and should be a staple in every
children's DVD Collection. The movie teaches both the
importance of living life and the fact that we all have to
one day face death.
This is a
touching, enjoyable journey of an awkward 10 year old named
Jesse (Josh
Hutcherson.) He struggles with self acceptance,
as well as fitting into his family and then getting bullied
at school, all while trying to make friends. Gosh it is
young to be a kid. Thank goodness a girl named Leslie
(Annasophia Robb) moves
in next door that is in his class and they become best
friends and together their creativity grows and grows
creating a fairytale land called Terabithia where they are
the king and queen. These two children teach us as the
audience both young and old how to enjoy life, and the
importance of hope and creativity.
In typical
Disney Fashion they have emotional struggle in the
beginning, then growth and imagination, and then in this
movie they deal with the terrible loss. It was really
great, and yes I was misty eyed for the last 20 minutes of
the movie. Go see this film, you will leave the theatre
changed.
ps - Jesse's
Little Sister May Belle (Bailee
Madison) was so stinking adorable, not only did
she steal every scene she was in but she made the movie for
me.
