No Regret UMM It was good
This turned out to be a sick and twisted movie, living up to
its title, going through life with No Regret. I have to
admit, I was shocked at most of the turns in the plot, some
of which on a truly sick mind could come up with. Even
though the end justifies the means, with the audience
leaving the theatre perplexed, bewildered and yes amused. I
must tell you that you will pay your dues while you sit
through the first half of the film as it moves at a glacier
pace. Yet strangely enough the captions come and go very
quickly, causing the audience to speed read at times.
Essentially the core plot, without giving any juicy details,
is about a young, attractive gay guy. Unfortunately he was
raised an orphan. Having no family he turns to the streets
and becomes an escort in a high class (they wear suits)
whore house. He thinks of his tricks as just that,
tricks. The story begins to take a left turn when a rich
"John" falls in love with him and begins to stalk him.
The cinematography was good with great angles, however the
entire movie was really dark. Maybe there was no budget for
lighting or maybe the dark was meant to foreshadow the end
of the film. Who knows?
Yes, I was watching this movie thinking the entire time that
I was going to tear it apart. The first hour is quite
painful, but after it turned into a crazy movie it almost
makes it all worth it. If you like interesting twists and
turns, or if you enjoy young naked Koreans (not much but
there is some) you will enjoy this film. |
