Epic Movie  

Totally Hilarious!  If you were a fan of the movies this year then you will not only understand but truly appreciate the parody that this movie is presenting for you.  Here are some of the films that are poked at and essentially made fun of in this movie:  The Da Vinci Code, Nacho Libre, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Snakes on a Plane, Superman Returns, X-Men, Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean, Click, Borat.  If you have seen these movies then you will understand why they blow crumpled nachos on a chubby kid, and you will die laughing, for you will get it. 

So if you have seen these movies, I truly recommend seeing Epic Movie.  If not I recommend you have a DVD party and rent the  movies I mentioned above and then watch Epic Movie.  I have heard from several people that they didn't like Epic Movie to which I immediately ask "why?"  When they say they didn't get it, or it didn't make sense. If I ask if they have seen a few of the movies above they usually answer no. So of course they didn't get it and of course they didn't understand. 

If you are a movie lover and you went to the movies several times this year you need to go see this movie because it is great.  But you basically have to be alive to get the rest of the jokes, for it also makes fun of many of the things in current day pop culture like Paris Hilton, Tom Hank's hair cut, Kanye West's dislike for the prejudice of the president, Lance Bass being gay, Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston, and hit TV shows like MTV's Cribs, and American Idol.  If you want to sit back and watch a movie that makes fun of us as a media driven nation through silly jokes, then you will love this film.
