Alpha Dog
This tragic
journey is based on a true story and takes us into the inner
workings of a suburban clan that gets caught up in the
glamour and high paced speed of the drug life, wannabe
gangster life, and of course we get to watch them deal with
all the drama and confusion that goes with it.
I was shocked
to see that
Justin Timberlake was
absolutely amazing. He truly lost himself into his
character as Frankie, for as we are watching we only see the
character he is playing and not the singer we have
previously become acquainted with. For an accomplished
singer to master the art of movie making, and be great
at both is a great feat, and I'm impressed.
I hate that
this story was told from true events for It really tore me
up, and I fed on the happenings, reliving the storyline in
my head for a few hours after I left the theatre. Drooling
over the draw of this lifestyle and then being thankful that
I have never been caught up in it.
Go see this
movie, it is a bit disturbing, but its a surprising look
into what has affected the lives of some of our youth,
at least the lives of those this story happened to. Please
learn from this film that its not cool to be a wanna be
thug.
PS - I
loved the side captions when they told the Witness number
and Name, for this trial is still going on today in
California.
