This was incredibly educational to watch, I learned so much
not just about the life of
Charles Nelson
Reilly but also about our Gay history. |
This
slow, dramatic, and tragic life story was set up much like
his one man show on a stage with limited sets. He covered
everything from when the actor was born onto a stage in 4th
grade. He talked about moving to Connecticut, and taking
acting classes. My favorite is when he went out to
California to meet the President of NBC and he tells
Reilly that
no Queers are allowed on TV. Charles Nelson Reilly packed it
up and went back home to become an off Broadway actor, etc.

I'll let Reilly tell the story as he does so well. These are
his memoirs, the way that he can reflect back and give
credit and recognition to all those that have affected his
life. Reilly said about teaching his acting students that
they were not only able to learn from him, but from "all
those that have taught him and affected his education." |
