LOVED IT *****(Five Stars) |

|
Holy shit was this movie horrific, gut wrenching and
completely disturbing, however, this is probably the best
movie I have ever seen in the horror, slasher, senseless
and brutal killing genre. And by seen I mean that I was
barely able to watch this movie for it was extremely
graphic, believable and horrifying. I'm not kidding it was
better and at the same time more terrible than Hostel and Saw
put together. If you enjoy those movies you will love this
one for they really outdid themselves. |
|
Honestly it was extremely painful to watch the senseless
slaughter of these helpless humans and it was even more
torturous as an audience member to realize that this was
based on a true story. |
|
The script was clearly thought out and well executed even
down to the bondage scene in the very beginning of the movie
for it was a foreshadow of what was yet to come. The
portrayal of the back hills rednecks and the extremities of
their beliefs was also very believable. Even though the
rednecks are twisted in their minds, they are often either
extra religious or extra political. Much like his Uncle in
this film, Leatherface was fervent in his war beliefs. |
|
The cinematography was brilliant and the camera angles were
spectacular. The cast was also remarkable and believable in
their fear and pain. As a back story telling us about the
beginning of this trilogy the movie was able to explain the
cop car and the police uniform. (Editors note:
in the
beginning Leatherface's uncle and guardian was asked by the
police to confront him about who killed his slaughter house
boss. The uncle shot the cop and now wears his clothes and
drives his police car)
It also made sense that the
mentally challenged Tommy worked in a slaughter house and
was used to whacking cold meat. As his uncle said meat
is meat and bone is bone. |
|
This movie is extreme, half the time I didn't know
whether to cry or puke. My suggestion is to go with a full
stomach for you will not be able to eat for several hours
after you watch this film. However, if you are able to sit
the brutal torture of this story you will enjoy everything
else about it cinematically speaking, and this film will go
down in books as a new chapter in a terribly tragedy. |
