If you like stupid comedy, where you know it's just wrong to
laugh this is your film. It is retarded funny. It is
definitely one of those movies that is much funnier the
second time around, when you know your favorite funny scene
is coming up and you laugh before it starts. I enjoyed the
show but I'm not sure I was ready for a feature length film
of it, I think in the half hour format it had more flair and
more humor. I feel its quite difficult for a television
show to be put on the big screen for the main fact that yes
its funny and you can keep our attention for that period of
time but on the big screen it seems like much longer. Yet I
feel this film may be more targeted or better suited for a
person who has never seen the T. V. series for most of the
movie was some of the best series scenes regurgitated on the
big screen. |

The best part about the movie is that it gives
background (prison) information on how or why Jerri
Blank (Amy
Sedaris) the 46 year old ex con, ex junkie is
where she is, and includes her coming home to find that
her mother is dead and her father in a coma and thus
includes the introduction to her step mother. |

The characters in this film were quite interesting including
some impressive A list cameos.
Philip Seymour Hoffman,
Sarah Jessica Parker,
and
Matthew Broderick where
as they were a welcomed addition to the cast I dont feel
that they really added the element of humor that they
originally intended and therefore may have been a let
down. My favorite character was the Jesus loving, closet
gay science teacher who was borderline psychotic and got
extremely pissed for no apparent reason. |
|
This movie is full of laughs and includes several lines to
be repeated like, "These are my best friends who's her face
and what's his name" however my two favorite scenes are
when Jerri Blank gets scolded for talking with her mouth
full and she spits all of her food out and she goes I don't
have any food in my mouth, and then the one where the school
bully is pissing in her locker and she slams the door on his
cock, and then on his face.

This movie is both stupid funny and retarded funny, and is
most hilarious when she was talking about her years of
addiction with the other 17 year olds. If you were a fan
of the TV show or anything that is silly then you will enjoy
this film. |

mortified by her stepdaughter's return, his new wife

thirty-two-year coma. 87 minutes. MPAA Rating: R (for sexual
