I was not really sure what to expect when I saw this movie,
I am somewhat of a
Jack Black fan so I
went with an open mind, let me tell you that this film was
hilarious, especially if your a fan of the Benny
Hill style of humor.
Jack's every being is
so funny, his movements and his over dramatic gestures truly
make you laugh out loud. By the way his accent was great.
They even poke fun at every day things like taking a dump,
he is always on that toilet, and it's funny. Everyday
things make you laugh, and why is it that every big fat girl
falls for the really ugly super skinny guy? That doesn't
make sense to me but its realistic. I have big friends that
only date twink boys, and was it me or did they choose the
ugliest Mexicans they could find to play the supporting cast
of this movie, is that part of the humor that I just didn't
get? The best thing is that he is able to laugh at himself
as he runs around in super small stretchy pants as his
little package wobbles too and fro. |

Its a very simplistic story this obese boy named Nacho (Jack
Black) who grows up as an orphan, who then begins
working in the orphanage as a chef. His dream has always
been to become a wrestler and he finds a way to become an
armature wrestler to get extra money to help feed the
children. Its a touching story and there is an interesting
love twist with Sister Encarnacion (Ana
de la Reguera) its just a fun movie. and my
favorite line is "Im not talking to you... you crazy" |

If you are a fan of silly comedy, especially the slap stick
humor of the old physical black and white comedy shows like The
Three Stooges you will most
definitely enjoy this film. |

Nacho Libre
Comedy. Nacho (Jack Black) is a young man who was raised in
a Mexican monastery in Oaxaca and now works there as the
cook, and takes it upon himself to rescue the holy place
from financial ruin by joining a local Lucha Libre wrestling
tournament and becoming one of the 'Luchadores'. Naturally,
Nacho isn't acting out of purely altruistic measures, as he
wishes to help Sister Encarnacion (Ana de la Reguera), a
beautiful Mexican nun who has recently arrived at the
monastery, as well as the gaggle of young orphans who live
there. 91 minutes. MPAA Rating: PG (for rough action, and
crude humor including dialogue).
