HATED IT *(One Star) |
|
|
Do not waste your time! Honestly don't bother to go see this
movie, it totally sucked. It tried really hard to be a good
feature film but it didn't work. Terrible script, terrible
edits, and oh yeah it's often completely out of focus. |
|
Did I mention that
Colin Farrell is a
terrible actor, and not even cute with his super greasy hair
and can we talk about the caterpillars above his eyebrows. |
|
I don't really understand what they were thinking, it
couldn't even be called a drama. There was no real
character development except you do see that
Jamie Foxx and his
girl friend are in love after a fairly weird and
uncomfortable sex scene.
|
|
The only scene that I enjoyed is when
Colin Farrell and
Jamie Foxx had to go
undercover and they were in a difficult situation and
recovered superbly as they had to prove themselves
dedicated. This is also the scene where my favorite line
comes from
Jamie Foxx: "Do you
wanna fuck my partner or do you wanna do business with him,
cause I don't care if you like how he looks." |
|
The only character I liked was Isabella,
Li Gong. Yet I was
getting
Memoirs of a Geisha
flash backs with her first by just hearing her accent
and voice and then with her face. By the way, do females
really cry when getting fucked? I wouldn't know. |
|
This movie was entirely too long and several people left
during the film, yeah it was that interesting. If you're
afraid of blood don't worry, there was no budget for special
effects. I left this movie beyond frustrated and borderline
angry. I sat through the movie and laughed with all the
strangers in the lobby about how this movie totally flopped
and we were all suckers for watching it. The only thing the
movie was successful in doing is making me want to drink a
mohito. Anyone for a mojito? |

Miami
Vice
Action/Adventure, Drama, Crime/Gangster and Adaptation.
Based on the 80's TV series. Ricardo Tubbs (Jamie Foxx) is
urbane and dead smart. He lives with Bronx-born intelligence
analyst Trudy, as they work undercover transporting drug
loads into South Florida to identify a group responsible for
three murders. Sonny Crockett (Colin Farrell) is charismatic
and flirtatious until-while undercover working with the
supplier of the South Florida group-he gets romantically
entangled with Isabella, the Chinese-Cuban wife of an arms
and drugs trafficker. The intensity of this case pushes
Crockett and Tubbs out onto the edge where identity and
fabrication become blurred, where cop and player become
one-especially for Crockett in his romance with Isabella and
for Tubbs in the provocation of an assault on those he
loves. Michael Mann directs. 2 hours, 15 minutes. MPAA
Rating: R (for strong violence, language and some sexual
content).
