Go See It **** (four Stars)

This was a cute film that taught self discovery and acceptance along with the ability to survive and overcome your fears. This movie will be enjoyed by kids of all ages.  I have to say that part two was a bit darker than the original with the fact that you might all die/drowned.

The best parts of the movie are the parts that involve Scrat (Chris Wedge) the little nut chaser, and it could have just been a short film that only included him, like all the trailers.
We follow the animals  that we met in the previous film Manny (Ray Romano), Diego (Denis Leary) and Sid (John Leguizamo ) who are perfectly content living in the Ice Age, completely and totally unaware that due to the climate change the ice walls that protect their village will be melting all around them.  In a few days the ice will break allowing water to cascade into the valley destroying everything, including them, in its path.   They quickly try to find an escape path.
We become quite close to Manny (Ray Romano ) who is quite saddend at the thought that he is indeed the last living wolly mammoth, that is until he meets Ellie (Queen Latifah) on their journey to escape the flood.  The only problem is Ellie was raised by possums and thinks that she is indeed a possum.
Go see this movie, it is fun and you will learn a bit about yourself in the process.
