Morandi is a great Northern
Italian restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in an
authentic Italian Cafe. There are endless amounts of eye candy in the
neighborhood, and in the restaurant, and exceptional opportunities to
people watch in one of the Village's premier eateries.
Morandi is owned by the world famous restaurateur Keith McNally, who
singlehandedly revived
New York's downtown restaurant scene. McNally
also owns
Pastis and a bunch of other well known and highly regarded
restaurants you've probably heard of. We'll add few more to the site
after we've figured out how to get a table.
The menu at Morandi includes an incredible selection of Italian cuisine.
Lunch selections include Panini like the Fontina e prosciutto,
cotto ham & cheese with tomato on rosemary focaccia. Delish. You'll also
find salads, steaks, chicken and of course pasta. Try the
Linguine alle vongole, pasta with clams, white wine & green
garlic or the Ravioli verdi, spinach ravioli with
butter & sage.
This isn't cheap dining and you'll be hard pressed to get out at under
forty bucks a person, but it's well worth it and we'll bet you'll
return.
