Conveniently located on
the near north side of Chicago
(2.5 miles toMillennium
Park)
in a beautifully restored 1912 brownstone, the House of
Two Urns B&B was originally built as a Polish bakery;
sweet smells still waft through the kitchen each morning as they
serve a full breakfast daily to their B&B guests. They also
offer free wi-fi in room, satellite TV, off-street parking,
umbrellas, beach towels, DVD library, kitchen, laundry access
and private phone lines - and unlike generic hotels - all
amenities are free at the B&B. They are fully inspected and
licensed by the City of Chicago;
the Illinois Bed
and Breakfast Association and offer a completely smoke- and
pet-free environment.
They have 4 guestrooms in the main inn and two 3 bedroom
apartments. The apartment rentals do not include breakfast.
B&B guests enjoy a full hot breakfast every
morning between 7 and 9:30 am at the main inn, here is a sample
of one of our specialties, French Toast a la Morrie, it tastes
just as good as it looks. We also offer continental items
at our buffet for those guests who wish a "lighter" breakfast or
for the hearty eaters, who enjoy our Blue Plate specials and our
freshly baked muffins, cereal or yogurt choices on the
buffet, too.
Alice's Room and La Chambre des Chats
(Chats) are our two basic guestrooms that offer reasonable
accommodations with all the same amenities of breakfast,
internet, parking, telephone with a shared bath and full size
bed. Das Porzellanzimmer offers deluxe amenities with a
queen bed and has a private bath across the hall. These three
rooms are found on the 2nd floor of the main inn. The
Studio Suite is great for families or a secret rendezvous away
for you sans enfants in our most spacious and secluded guestroom
with bath ensuite.
