Celebrate Orgullo is a Hispanic Gay and Lesbian Pride event on
Miami Beach.
From September 15 to October 15 Americans observe Hispanic
Heritage Month which celebrates the histories, cultures and
contributions of the many Americans whose families came from
predominantly Spanish speaking countries in Europe, Central &
South America and the Caribbean.
On October 6, 2012,
Miami's Hispanic Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and
Transgendered community will Celebrate Orgullo. Orgullo
means Pride in Spanish and this event is intended to display the
cultural, social and many other contributions of this group of
people that now call Miami Beach and the greater South Florida
area home.
Celebrate Orgullo is a common effort that has been created and
implemented by a group of dedicated volunteers that are
committed to honoring the heritage, roots and diversity of
South Florida's LGBT Latino community.
Celebrate Orgullo is a free event that is open to the public at
large. The event will feature live music, folkloric and
contemporary dance, refreshments, vendor displays and more! The
organizers hope that everyone regardless of their ancestors
origin will join in this event.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of food, non-alcoholic
and alcoholic beverages will benefit the LGBT Youth Scholarship
Fund of the
MDGLCC Foundation, (Miami Dade Gay & Lesbian Chamber
of Commerce) Foundation, Inc.

Cada año los estadounidenses observan el mes de la Hispanidad,
del 15 de septiembre al 15 de octubre celebrando la historia, la
cultura y las contribuciones de los estadounidenses cuyos
ancestros provienen de América Central y América del Sur, España,
México y el Caribe. El 6 de octubre del 2012, los hispanos de
la comunidad LGBT, por primera vez, celebraran Celebrate Orgullo.
El evento está diseñado para mostrar la contribuciones
culutrales de este segmento de
la comunidad hispana de Miami
Beach. Celebrate Orgullo es un esfuerzo a nivel local, concebido
y implimentado por un grupo de voluntarios comprometidos a
honrar nuestra herencia, nuestras raíces y nuestra diversidad.
QUE: Gratis y abierto al público. celebrar el Orgullo Hispano
con música, baile, bebidas, kioscos de vendedores y mucho más!
Una porción de los ingresos de la venta de alimentos y bebidas
se beneficiarán al Fondo de Becas para jóvenes LGBT de
Miami-Dade Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Inc.
