DJ Theresa
From
the country that brought the
world Shakira and Erick
Morillo, Colombia's Dj
Theresa is the perfect
amalgamation of the two
superstars - a talented
musician and a dangerously
energetic DJ. Named Best
Female DJ of 2009, it’s to
no surprise that she is the
resident DJ for M2 (formerly
Crobar), Lima (DC), and
MATINÉE New York -- the
biggest party in the world
direct from Barcelona and
Ibiza. In 2010,
she headlined some of the
most important parties
worldwide including MATINÉE
Pride and LaLeche! (NYC),
Sao Paulo Pride (Brazil),
Pride @ Parking (Montreal),
Disney Arabian Nights
(Orlando), and EPIC
(Toronto) to name just a
few.
"I will do anything to make
you move...anything," says
DJ Theresa half jokingly as
she plays a rhythmic beat on
her bongos during a WMC
rooftop event amidst a
stunning view from the top
of the prestigious Fashion
TV Rooftop Building. As
usual, within minutes of
getting behind the decks her
energy spreads like a
wildfire.
By the age of 14, Theresa
was already composing her
own music, was part of
several independent rock
bands, and had played at
Miami's hottest venues as a
live percussionist. Both a
lyricist and musician,
Theresa has now released
remixes on top labels
including Ministry of
Sound’s Global Underground,
and her infectious,
chart-topping mixes are
played by top DJs all over
the world.

Hilton Wolman Celebrates
10 Years of Salvation
Posted 10/1/2009 5:00 PM
Dear Friends:
It was exactly ten years ago, in
October 1999 during a trip to
Montreal for the Black and Blue
Festival that I became one of
the owners of the legendary
Salvation on Miami Beach. Over
the next few years I was
privileged to work with some of
the most talented DJ's and
performers in the business,
building up a cherished
relationship with Salvation's
resident DJ Abel and our house
diva, Power Infiniti. Those
were truly magical times in
South Beach - when thousands of
party goers would pack Level on
a Friday, Salvation on a
Saturday and Liquid and then
Crobar on a Sunday. I have so
many fabulous memories of those
parties and I'm truly blessed to
have become friends with many
wonderful people (including YOU)
that we met both on and off the
dancefloor. While some have
subsequently moved away, or
don't go out clubbing as often
as they once did, each birthday
when we did the Salvation
Reunion Party, I was delighted
to see how many Salvation
regulars would show up. I'm
hoping that this Saturday, my
friends will make a similar
effort to come out for a special
event.
When we resurrected the name for
the monthly party we now do at
Score, we re-invented the brand.
Abel developed a sound for
these parties that was truly
unique - and our guest DJ's have
done an admirable job of keeping
that sound intact when they spin
the event. But this particular
party Abel wants to take us on a
journey that encompasses the
entire 10 years we've been
working together and he's spent
the past few days in the studio
preparing brand new remixes of
some familiar songs.
So please join us this Saturday,
October 3rd as we party like
it's 1999 - a special SALVATION
themed event when Abel, Power
and myself CELEBRATE ten years
of collaboration that began
during the heydays of Salvation
Miami Beach. The music will
transport you back to that
magical time, updated in a
timeless manner, with plenty of
current music thrown in for good
measure.
There will be several surprise
performances during the night -
with Power doing a show as the
room opens, just like we did
back in 1999. So make sure you
get there early.
We are hoping to see all our
friends - old and new -
including many who we hope will
dust off their dancing shoes and
re-live the memories one more
time. I sincerely hope to see
you on the dancefloor
