New Play Development
ALA provides playwright
workshops in which students may
develop new works -plays and
musicals. The process includes
improvisation and collaboration
through a network of peers and
instructors as well as
professional supporters and
adjudicators.
Performance
ALA makes it a priority to
showcase local talent and add
value to the community at large
by generating productions from
within our own programming. We
do this by producing four
mainstage productions every
calendar year, along with
seasonal showcases for rising
talent; ALA will become a
destination for local community
events.
Rental Space
ALA has a versatile, black box
theatre space that includes
elevated platforms, flexible
theatre seating, private smaller
meeting areas, and a private,
atrium patio. We offer an
innovative and evolving,
flexible space with neutral
decor where businesses,
community organizations, and
various groups may gather to
experience creative synergy
beyond the boardroom, conference
room or office space.
Artwalks
ALA features a studio classroom,
and considerable wall space for
the display of fine art. The
facility is a flexible
environment where artists of
every age and medium can gather
to display, create, teach,
learn, present, and explore the
arts in all of its forms. In
cooperation with Flagler Arts
Village, “Art Walks” are
scheduled for the 4th Saturday
of every month. Take a walk
through our venues featuring
fine works of art by artisans
throughout Florida and across
the country.

professional theatrical venue.
There are opportunities for
college students in search of
hands-on training beyond the
classroom in a professional,

The Rocky Horror Show is a long-running British horror comedy
stage musical, which opened in London on 19 June 1973. It was
written by English-born New Zealander Richard O'Brien, and
developed by O'Brien in collaboration with Australian theater
director Jim Sharman. It came eighth in a BBC Radio 2 listener
poll of the "Nation's Number One Essential Musicals".
The musical was adapted as the 1975 film The Rocky Horror
Picture Show, a cult film and the longest-running theatrical
release in film history.
