Taverna Yiamas is a Greek restaurant located in downtown
Hollywood, Florida in the heart of Hollywood's Art
and Entertainment District near
Young Circle Arts Park and Amphitheater.
The food is always good and the result is that Taverna
Yiamas is frequented by a lot of locals. The restaurant
has about half of its seating outdoors under hundred
year old oak trees along Hollywood Boulevard. European
style outdoor cafes line Hollywood Boulevard. Many
nights include live entertainment with belly dancers and
Greek music.
The menu is standard Greek fare and if you are into
humus, you won't be disappointed. We also liked the lamb
and we've heard (from the people carrying on at the
table next to us) that the seafood is great as well. On
another visit, for lunch, we tried the Greek salad and
Gyros and like the humus, you will not be let down.
Be sure to save room for dessert!
