Mojo, one
of the newest casual-chic
restaurants in
Fort Lauderdale,
has its roots in
New Jersey.
After many years of
success, a new seed has been
planted in the warmth of
South Florida.
Mojo's menu
is a cross between many
cultures. The owners, long-time
partners Anthony De Maio and
Domenick Falcione, describe the
food as “American eclectic
cuisine.”
“We
designed the menu to be fresh,
interesting and healthy. We
designed the space to be
inviting, elegant and casual. We
have a full bar, a great happy
hour and we have given our
clients a bar bite menu for
casual dining and dinner menu
with interesting dishes as well
as standards,” the owners added.
Mike Myers
coined the phrase “I lost my
mojo” in the popular movie,
“Austin Powers,” with an
underlying sexual connotation.
The word ‘mojo’ actually
has several different meanings
and has been used in many
different contexts.
In the case of Austin
Powers, losing his ‘mojo’ meant
losing his sex appeal, which he
eventually got back. Mojo
(the restaurant) has picked up
right where Powers left off.
Mojo is open Monday to
Saturday and Closed Sundays.
