Pride One of Broward County, AKA Pride
South Florida, producers of the Annual GLBT Celebration
Pridefest, is proud to announce, "Returning to the Scene
of Pride" at Fort Lauderdale’s War Memorial at Holiday
Park on March 10th & 11th, 2012. The return of the event
to Fort Lauderdale marks the beginning of a new chapter
for the events 35th Anniversary, appropriately entitled
"Beyond the Rainbow" Concert, Parade & Festival!
Pridefest will be welcoming back the Pridefest Parade on
Sunday March 11, at 10:30 am on the main street inside
the War Memorial at Holiday Park!
The organizers of Pridefest are extremely proud to
announce some of the entertainers that are scheduled to
perform at the 35th Anniversary of Pridefest on March 10
& 11, 2012!
In 2010, Jonathan began shooting Setup
Squad for Logo TV, an MTV network. Jonathan worked
consistently as a stage actor and dedicated countless
hours to organizations such as Broadway Cares/Equity
Fights AIDS. Middle School Theatre Education Program in
Broward Country, FL. Awarded American Airlines’ Silver
Knight Award for Outstanding Service to the Community in
Drama. Established the first after-school musical
theatre education program at three middle schools in

Michelle Balan
Michelle is a classy comedian with
attitude. Sometimes class has to move over for the
attitude. Michelle was one of the finalists on NBC’s “
Last Comic Standing & was the “ Last Woman Comic
Standing.” She has appeared on the “Joy Behar Show",
Byron Allen’s Comics Unleashed & the Out Laugh festival
on MTV’s Logo TV.
Taylor Dayne
An American pop vocalist, songwriter,
dance artist. Overall, she has eighteen individual Top
Tens’ on Billboard charts including,
most recently, the 2011 American and international hit
"Floor on Fire" and the 2008 song "Beautiful", which
reached the top spot in Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play
Chart. She has also topped the U.S. Billboard Hot Dance

Beverly McClellan
A soulful rock singer with honest
lyrics and a raw sound, Beverly plays over 10
instruments and has already released five independent
albums. Originally from Virginia, she’s worked the clubs
and bars around Fort Lauderdale, Florida for nearly 20
years, always looking for that big break. And that break
happened in Summer 2011 when she made it onto the finals

Julissa Veloz
Julissa is a Dominican-American
recording artist and songwriter. She first achieved fame
as "Tiara Girl" in Season 8 of American Idol. After
being eliminated in the group rounds, Veloz was signed
to record label Carrillo Music owned by DJ Rod Carrillo.
In 2010, Veloz released her debut single, "Take
Control",
which peaked at number eight on the Billboard Dance/Club
Play chart. That October, Veloz released her second
single, "Predator", which entered the Billboard
Dance/Club Play chart at #44 and climbed to #19.
Tony Cruz
Tony is quite possibly the most
recognizable voice in South Florida’s music scene. They
may not have known it, but South Floridians have been
hearing his voice for years on advertisements for
everything from the Maroone Car Dealerships to the
morning radio show on Power 96. His versatility as an
artist has enabled him to perform at some of the most
prestigious venues in the world. Though his home base is
Miami, Tony enjoys traveling and has been performing all
over the world. His personality, polished skill and
sheer talent have brought him such reputable clients as
Walt Disney World, Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos and Philip
Morris just to name a few. Tony has definitely proven
his validity as a captivating artist and performer.
Jon Simon
For the past 11 years, Jon Simon has
been entertaining Florida high schools with his popular
Simon Sez Comedy Hypnosis Show. Some high schools
feature his show during Homecoming Week, Senior Day and
Prom. Some schools feature his show as a fund raising
event. Some schools feature his show just because they
just want to bring the fun and excitement of his show to
their school and boost school spirit. Volunteers are
invited from the audience and quickly fill the 20 chairs
on stage. After simple instructions, they are guided
into a relaxing state of hypnosis. The audience watches
in amazement. Soon the room is filled with non-stop
laughter as the volunteers become the stars of the show!
Alexis Salgato
Alexis’s first Single “ Never Knew ” by
Liam Keegan that topped the charts in the UK at # 1 and
Hit # 35 on the Billboard Dance Charts here in the USA.
She is currently working on her next release.
Ray Guell
Born & Raised in Miami. Ray’s newest
release is “You Don’t Know Me” which he wrote. He also
sang the freestyle songs ( Just Another Lover ) and (You
Took My Heart) Cuban American, Ray Guell, was always
drawn to the arts ever since he was a child. His parents
say, that he started dancing before he could even walk.
Music came very easy to him and his ability to put
melodies together on his guitar or on the piano was
amazing for such a young child, even without formal
training.
