Poverello Center is located in Wilton Manors Florida and serves
all of Broward County. Their goal is to provide life-saving
nutrition, food and assist with basic living essentials. The
services are provided to individuals with need qualifications
living with HIV/AIDS at no cost and with a high degree
of understanding, caring, respect and love.
The needs of Poverello's clients are met by the distribution
of free groceries and clothing from their centrally located food
bank and thrift shop. Another goal of this volunteer driven
charity is to ease the stress, loneliness and in some cases
alienation from family and friends that is caused by living with
the HIV/AIDS virus.
Your thoughtful and caring monetary gifts and donations of food,
clothing and other goods that can be sold in the Poverello
thrift store provides help for Broward County's brothers and
sisters in need.
Throughout the year Poverello also presents functions that allow
you to participate in a fun activity and donate or raise funds.
For example, The annual Poverello Bowl-A-Thon
takes place in August each year. |
