The Gamma Mu Foundation in Fort Lauderdale Florida was created
to endow financial grants to organizations and individuals in
small towns and rural America, that provide direct assistance to
people living with HIV or AIDS. The Foundation also funds
organizations that assist in prevention and education. The
Foundation has awarded over $1,500,000 to more than 100
organizations and over 90% of these funds have been distributed
in rural areas.
In addition to support of HIV/AIDS causes, one of the
Foundation's ongoing missions is the granting of trade-school,
under-graduate and advanced-degree scholarships to deserving gay
men. |
