The Huckleberry
restaurant is a surprising little gem off the beaten path
from the normal hustle and bustle of the city life. This clean
and brightly decorated country restaurant is located in the
suburban town of Louisville, just 30 minutes northwest of
Denver. It is perfect for the commuter between Denver and
Boulder, or for those just looking to venture out a bit.
The
Huckleberry truly feels like a “home away from home” because of
the warm and authentic waitstaff. This modern country dining
establishment
has fun, colorful artwork on the walls and classic tiffany lamps
hanging from the ceiling. The menu is surprisingly diverse. Try
starting off with their homemade chai tea. I took a risk in
ordering seafood for breakfast when I chose the Crab Cake
Benedict, but I was definitely not disappointed in my choice.
The poached eggs on an English muffin, crab cake, spinach, and
homemade hollandaise fused together beautifully. It came with a
side of potatoes making it a perfectly portioned meal. Another
tasty dish is the Mixed Berry Crepe. It contains mascarpone
cheese, cream cheese, and vanilla, and it is topped with a mixed
berry sauce. The Crepe is served with eggs and bacon to ensure
an eclectic breakfast.
Break free from the city life and
experience The Huckleberry. |
