Filled with a century’s worth of character and history, Hotel
Teatro in downtown
Denver continues to “wow” guests in the
Mile High City. “Hotel Teatro blends the grandeur of yesterday
with modern conveniences and luxuries of today,” said Jim
Turner, Hotel Teatro’s general manager. Located conveniently in
Denver’s Theatre District, most attractions and amenities are
within walking distance or a short car ride of the hotel. The
theatre district inspired the name “Teatro”, meaning “theatre”
in Italian. The building was originally the Denver Tramway
Building. When streetcar travel became obsolete, the building
served many other different purposes. By 1999, the building was
fully restored with the help of the Colorado Historical Society
and Hotel Teatro was born. The hotel also features the
magnificent
Restaurant Kevin Taylor.
From the moment you walk in,
to the time of departure, the service is guaranteed to be
exceptional. You would think that such an upscale hotel would
ban pets, but they welcome dogs with open arms. Hotel Teatro
even offers dog walking services, pet-sitting, and a gift basket
for your “man’s best friends.” Upon entering your guest room,
the thing surely to catch your attention will be the large
windows with the gorgeous downtown views. Because of the high
ceiling, the room feels refreshingly open and perfect for
relaxing. To make you feel at home, there are fresh chocolates
on the table with a warm note from a staff member welcoming you
to the hotel. Everything seems luxuriously proportioned from the
large bathroom, the long desk, the king size bed, and even the
living area. The bathroom has plenty of Aveda products to bring
the mind, body, and spirit back to a state of serenity.
Hotel
Teatro offers 110 luxury guest rooms with views of downtown
Denver, including six Junior Suites, the Chancellor's Suite and
The Apartment at Hotel Teatro. All rooms include complimentary
high speed wireless internet connections and are pet friendly.
Guest rooms have 12-foot ceilings and are decorated in rich,
soft gold or sage tones. Indonesian sandstone foyers set the
stage of refined elegance, complemented by custom built cherry
wood armoires and custom fabric headboards, luxurious damask
fabrics, contemporary art deco furniture covered with fine
fabrics, and luxurious touches like down duvets. All
accommodations feature custom desks with leather blotters,
complimentary high speed and wireless internet service,
dedicated data ports, and two-line telephones with caller-ID and
voicemail. Luxurious baths have Indonesian marble and sandstone
finishes and are appointed with chrome features. Hotel Teatro is 100% non smoking.
In addition to being directly across the street from the
Denver Center for the Performing Arts, the Hotel Teatro is located near the Colorado
Convention Center and within easy
walking distance of the
Colorado State Capitol,
gourmet restaurants,
theaters, museums, shopping and more.
