“It wouldn’t be right to come back and not have Jim as our
first director. From his first time working with us on
Family Values as producer, Jim became a part of
the Odyssey clan.” said a company spokesman. “Jim worked on
every project from his first work with us in one form or
another. His vision is the reason
Mass Appeal
ranks as one of the most innovative Bi
sexual movies of all time. He co-directed with
Chi Chi La Rue
and wrote on
The Journey Back,
marking the return of
Zak Spears
to the screen. He then went on to helm all aspects of the
stories continuation, the prison epic-
The Joint.
“Collectively his work with us garnered in excess of 40
GAYVN nominations and a best picture nod every year. Despite
all the talent that abounds in the gay industry, I don’t
think there is any other one person that can handle as many
aspects of production with the effectiveness of Jim. Steel
was nominated again this year for his work with HIS video.
He has been making movies for 20 years, holding the in-
house director role for
Vivid and
Metro for many of those.
The yet untitled project will begin shooting on April 19th
for a tentative release date in late July. The film will be
shot in
Florida and Jim Steel has tapped
Fort Lauderdale based
FabScout Entertainment to assist with the casting of
this film. “FabScout is looking forward to working with
Men of Odyssey and Jim Steel on this great
project. With his exceptional expertise in directing
amazing films and our talent pool; we are confident that
this film will become yet another huge hit!” stated
Howard Andrew of FabScout Entertainment. |
