Below The Belt at GAYVN Expo, Skin Trade, HustlaBall & Internext Las Vegas 2007

 

The week long stay in Las Vegas started out at the 2007 GAYVN Expo, then off to the amazing Skin Trade Party put on by Channel 1 Releasing and Maleflixxx.com and culminated with the astonishing HustlaBall Las Vegas 07.  I also made a one day visit to the Internext show at Mandalay Bay.  Needless to say, it was an exciting, titillating and productive week overall.

The freezing temperatures and light snow flurries didn’t stop people from attending all the events being held and I can promise you, things heated up quickly inside all the venues hosting the multitude of porn fans, porn stars and other celebrities that just had to be part of the fun.  Rumor has it that Britney Spears even showed up for a night of fun at the Piranha Nightclub! 

The GAYVN Expo was a little smaller this year than in years past, but overall the gay side of the porn industry made a good showing.  On hand were Channel 1 Releasing, COLT Studio Group, Titan Media, Straight College Men, On Top Wrestling, Hot House, Flava Men, Manline Sportsheets, NakedSword, Video Boys.com, XP Gay Armature and 1 Distribution.  Day one of the expo presented the opportunity to chat with the legendary Rick Ford (aka Dirk Yates) who recently sold his All Worlds Video to Chi Chi LaRue’s team at Channel 1 Releasing and formed the new brand “1 World.”  Rick stated “This is my first time in 6 years attending the GAYNV show and I am thrilled to be here.”  He also stated he is “very excited about his brands being part of Channel 1 Releasing and is very confident he made the right choice in selling to this group of talented professionals.”

Over at the COLT Studio Group booth, Kristofer Weston, Tom Settle and John Rutherford were very busy engaging fans and business associates with their lineup of COLT Products.  Absent this year from their booth were models.  However, Kristofer told me that Buckshot man Alex Chandler was appearing at the NakedSword booth to help promote the VOD available on that sight.  Directly across from COLT Studio Group, the Hot House team was heating up their booth with models Francesco D'Macho, Tony Mecelli and Vinnie D'Angelo.  The Titan Media booth was by far the busiest and it is no doubt due to the number of models they had working at the booth.  On hand were Damien Crosse, Diesel Washington, Jay Armstrong, Cole Ryan, Francois Sagat, Tober Brandt, Alex Baresi and Zachary Pierce.  Over at the Channel 1 Releasing booth we were treated to Tommy Blade, Chi Chi LaRue, Benjamin Bradley, Eddie Diaz and Josh Vaughn.  The hunky “straight” guys were wowing their fans at the Straight College Men.com booth and they were looking as fine as ever.  Over all the GAYVN Expo was a great place to network and socialize with some of the biggest names in Gay Porn today.  I only wish that more studios would participate in this venue as it is truly a great marketing and PR event for those in attendance and the industry in general.  Check out my GAYVN Expo Gallery for all the fun and excitement on the trade show floor.

Channel 1 Releasing Booth

After soaking my feet from all the walking and the bitter cold temperatures outside on day two I grabbed dinner with some of my favorite porn stars and headed out to the Skin Trade party at the Piranha Nightclub put on by Maleflixxx and Channel 1 Releasing.  With Chi Chi LaRue spinning, Bruce Vilanch ogling the talent and the amount of flesh performing on stage it was a wonder that the temperature outside didn’t rise to about 80 degrees!  This party was amazing and was packed to the rafters with totally fantastic people and eye candy everywhere you looked.

The big party of the week is of course the world famous HustlaBall and those freezing temperatures didn’t keep fans from lining up outside the door for the VIP pre-party at 9 p.m., with celebrity Bruce Vilanch on hand and wearing his “Former Action Figure” T-shirt.

“I think we can expect insanity and nudity,” said Vilanch. “I love watching porn stars, so I know it’s going to be a great evening.”

The VIP pre-party began at 9 PM in an intimate room next to the main club of Krave.  On hand to host (or is it hostess?) the event were the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence who were in fine form being represented by 19 Sisters from multiple states.  The sisters certainly indulged as they lent their helping hands in undressing a multitude of porn stars as they took to the stage to entertain the masses.

The pre-party was packed and FabScout Entertainment’s Howard Andrew took over the show when he grabbed a microphone and enticed dancers, the crowd and porn stars to “have a good time, loosen up and party like a porn star!”  FabScout Entertainment brought along about 15 of their models to perform and for their first showing at HustlaBall they certainly did not disappoint.  On hand from were Big Roger, Jeremy Hall, Jay Armstrong, Ralph Woods, Pierre Fitch, Tory Mason, Tommy Blade, Cole Ryan, and many many more.  Howard coerced Chi Chi LaRue to join him on stage and to address the audience as well.  Overall there were about 35 total performers taking to the stage during the VIP party and the fans on hand were treated to a hot show and lots of flesh by all!

Performer Raven O was in the crowd before hitting the stage in his first HustlaBall appearance. “This one is going to be a different flavor. It’s usually disco-diva, but now it’s going to be an all-boy show that’s very male.”

Channel 1 star Tommy Blade who is represented by FabScout Entertainment stated the following when asked what to expect during the main stage show: “You can expect a seductive, sexy, sinful male review,” he said with a smile. “I’ll be performing some simulated sex behind a sheer curtain with Pierre Fitch and Ralph Woods for the FabScout show.”

Once the VIP party ended the crowd moved over to the main club area for amazing music by Deejay Brett Henrichsen, a stage show hosted by Raven O and various porn stars performing throughout the night.  This huge room quickly became packed and the party was on! The performance started with sets of dancers mounting two raised podiums in the corners of the dance floor.  Cole Ryan, Jay Armstrong, Jeremy Hall, Pierre Fitch, and Ralph Woods stepped up for the first round of flesh.  We were then treated to the amazing physiques of Big Roger and Jake Deckard dancing on a podium together right before the main event started on the main stage – can you say WOOF?!?

The main show started with a few joked from Bruce Vilanch who was then joined on stage by Chi Chi LaRue to get the show started.  The room was packed and the fans were eager to see the opening act and Emcee Raven O who appeared on stage via and platform lowered from the ceiling singing “Could it Be Magic?”  He was joined on stage by four backup dancers and enticed the crowd to “take of your shirts…motherfuckers!  It is time to get nasty!”  With words like that, everyone knew they were in for a crazy night.

Up next was Ari Gold, singing in a leather mask.  A man standing next to me said “Damn, I hope he takes that mask off, he is so fucking hot and it is a shame to cover that beautiful face.”  Well, to his and everyone else’s delight he removed the mask and showed why his music is quickly becoming a favorite in dance clubs all over the world.  Raven O returned to introduce the next act. “It’s time for a new sexual revolution!” he proclaimed. “And HustlaBall is the place!

Up next was Kenimattix, a male adagio couple comprised of Ken Berkely and Matthew Cusick.   You might recall the lawsuit that was filed a couple years back against Cirque Du Soleil when Cusick was fired from his job as a performer because he was HIV Positive, well this act proves that they made a huge mistake.  He ended up winning his lawsuit and Cirque now has a new policy in place to not discriminate against those with HIV.  The two chiseled men kept the crowd enthralled with a series of acrobatic/ gymnastic moves, with remarkable upside-down hand lifts and a bevy of body-defying positions.

Raven O then invited the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence on stage to host the lineup of Porn Stars about to hit the stage.  First up were the Hot House men, Francesco D’Macho, Vinnie D’Angelo, Tony Mecelli, Marco Paris, and Marc Williams.  Titan was up next with Tober Brandt and Diesel Washington engaging in some watersports action on stage with  fellow Titan Men.  The word is still out as to weather or not this was a mock demonstration or for real, check out my photo gallery and you be the judge!  Next up were the men of FabScout Entertainment who started their show behind a backlit screen for some simulated sex before coming out on stage.  FabScout had the largest showing of porn stars on hand and from the reaction of the crowd, these men delivered.  A few other acts took to the stage and the party then continued until about 5 AM at Krave.  Once again, HustlaBall proved to be the “event not to miss” during the AVN/GAYVN Expo in Las Vegas.

Hustlaball was started by Tom Weise and Jeffrey Davis of Rentboy.com. It all began in 1998 at New York’s legendary hustler club, Stella’s. The event first appeared in Las Vegas in January 2005 to coincide with the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo, and has also had numerous appearances in Europe and other U.S. cities including San Francisco and West Hollywood.

After recovering for a day I then attended the Internext show being held at Mandalay Bay.  Internext is focused on the internet side of the porn industry and is mostly attended by webmasters, billing companies and a few producers of content.  The Maleflixxx booth at Internext was my main hangout with Benjamin Bradley and Francsco D'Macho on hand to meet and greet fans.  Maleflixxx hosted a VIP party in their suite which was a fantastic event and of course a lot of eye candy!  My final party of the week was the Cybersocket event held at Piranha Nightclub and of course this was another over the top party with great friends in the porn industry.
