After 2 ½ years as a Rascal Video Exclusive, Eddie Stone is now spreading his wings and legs (so to speak) as he continues his very successful run as one of today’s top gay porn stars. Stone is one of the most recognized faces in gay porn today and he credits that to “a marketable look with a friendly smile.” Recently shooting a new feature for Adonis Pictures, Stone said “I've always been the type of person that's attracted to anything that questions society's norms and goes against the grain. When Adonis approached me to do a film dealing with the church, I jumped on board. My scene with Zachary Pierce, playing protégé to my priest, is HOT!” It is no doubt that Stone will continue to heat up the screen as he carries on with this prolific screen persona. As a matter of fact he is shooting a new scene for Falcon Studios this week. Look for Eddie Stone Labor Day weekend when he will be performing live at SCORE in Miami Beach. The following interview gives us a little more understanding into the man that is Eddie Stone.
GIO Eddie, thank you for taking the time to do this interview for the readers of my column and your fans! Eddie My pleasure! GIO Let’s start by going back to you childhood…at what point in your life did you realize you were gay? Eddie I remember looking up at my teacher in Grade 3 thinking 'Damn, he's hot!' GIO which click were you in while in high school (jocks, geeks, preps, loner, etc)? Eddie It wasn't so cut and dry as that. I was the undisputed champion swimmer of the school, which gained respect from the jocks. I was also the youngest cast member in the school play my freshman year, which got me in with the artistic crowd. I was also on the honor role, which is geeky I guess. The only thing I can honestly say for sure, is that I was not a loner. GIO And, at what age did you loose your virginity and how was that experience? Eddie I was kind of a late bloomer. But when I turned 19, and started college, the floodgates opened. My first time was with a close girl friend of mine and two guys that had picked us up at a dorm party. My roommate was out for the night, so we ended up back in my room. We all fucked her, I blew them, and she blew us... no anal though. That was to be another night! GIO That sounds like my kind of college party! After college and prior to going in front of the video camera, I understand you were a go-go dancer at Micky’s in LA? Eddie That’s where it all started. New to L.A., I was looking for work, and Micky's was looking for go-go boys. I auditioned, and they liked me. Never having done that before, I didn't have anything to dance in, so I cut up a pair of jeans, and made these obscene shorts (laughs). I danced at Micky's, on and off, for a couple years! GIO I am sure you got a lot of attention in those shorts! How old were you when you saw your first porn film and what was it, if you can remember? Eddie Honestly, I don't remember. But when I was about 12, and didn't really know how sex worked yet, my brother's best friend swiped a str8 porn magazine from the store. We crowded around, flipping through the pages of naked bodies having sex pretending we had seen it all before. GIO The first time I ever saw you on film was in “Take one for the Team”, was that your first experience going in front of the video lens erotically?
Eddie Sometimes scenes are shot when models are available, and filed away until a project comes up that could use it. Although "Take One for the Team" was my first video release, it was actually the second sex scene I shot. My very first, was a scene with Danny Vox that ended up in "Stone Fox".
GIO What made you decide to pursue porn and how did you come up with your porn name? Eddie I had come to L.A. to do porn, and dancing at Micky's was a good place to network. But it wasn't until I met the right people that I really felt ready to go for it. I came up with Eddie Stone by combining the names of the two main characters of "Absolutely Fabulous." (a British sitcom) GIO You have an Eddie Stone Dildo on the market, tell me what it was like molding your cock into a sex toy?
Eddie The process itself is kind of archaic. They tell you to get hard and stick your cock in this goo for a few minutes. You end up redoing it a few times, either because the goo didn't settle properly or the mold was broken as it was being lifted off your dick. I remember thinking, 'There's gotta be an easier way... can't we just scan it or something?' Anyway, I'm really happy with the end result, and it's kind of cool that there's a dildo out there that was molded from me! GIO You have a very exotic look, what is your national origin or ethnicity? Eddie French/ Italian
GIO Let’s talk about your time as a Rascal Exclusive (the good and bad), how was that experience for you and why did you decide to pursue other studios? Eddie I always follow my gut. When I met Chi Chi and the guys at Rascal, I knew it was right. I was an exclusive for about 2 and 1/2 years with them. In that time, I did 14 movies (3 of which were shot in Europe and 2 of which I wrote), appeared in 3 erotic photo books, on a dozen magazine covers, did 70 Live&Raw internet shows, was interviewed by websites, for magazines, on the radio and on TV., did a European promo tour, did appearances in bars & clubs coast to coast, shot for mainstream magazines, molded a dildo and won 'Best Newcomer' at both the GayVN & Grabby awards... Needless to say, Rascal and I kept each other busy. Having done so much, we had reached the point where we asked ourselves, 'Now what?' I'm proud of my accomplishments with Rascal, and I'm excited about what the future holds!
GIO Damn! You were a busy man…You are perhaps one of the most recognizable faces in gay porn today, why do you suppose you became so successful in the gay porn industry? Eddie A marketable look with a friendly smile, an ability to stay grounded, good instincts, personable & easy to approach, a curiosity to try new things and a drive to do better. All backed by an award winning and well respected director. GIO How does it make you feel knowing that people are our there watching you and pleasuring themselves while doing so? Eddie I'm happy they're happy! GIO I understand you just finished a shoot for Adonis and will be doing a Falcon film soon as well. Tell me about both of those projects. Eddie I've always been the type of person that's attracted to anything that questions society's norms and goes against the grain. GIO It goes without saying that you have a great physique. What do you attribute your success to in achieving and maintaining your physical form? Eddie For about 10 years, starting before I hit puberty, I was a competitive swimmer. In the water at 5:30 a.m. before school and back in the pool for another couple hours after school. For strength training we lifted weights and for endurance, we ran stairs and laps. Trained by a former Olympic coach, I eventually reached the National level. I think that that kind of intense training (especially during a time when your body is growing and changing) helps set the stage for the rest of your life. These days, I go to the gym about 3-4 times a week and eat a balanced diet (a turkey wrap, fruit juice and a brownie is my definition of a balanced meal)
GIO Well you are doing a fine job! Do you watch yourself in the videos when they are completed? Eddie Sure. I always want to see the finished product. That way, I can improve on the things I felt were weak. GIO One of my favorite things to watch in porn is the bloopers that happen while filming. What is the funniest or most embarrassing thing that ever happened to you while shooting a scene? Eddie During the filming of Hole Patrol, for whatever reason, cast and crew were joking around and laughing the whole time. A lot of it was caught on tape and used in the 'out takes' on the DVD. I had had the munchies all day, and I remember at one point, Chi Chi yelled 'Action' to which I was supposed to start my very serious dialogue with Owen Hawk and Shane Rollins, but couldn't, because my mouth was full of chocolate I had just stuffed in it.
GIO You grew up in Canada and now reside in California. What are your favorite parts of each country you have lived in? Eddie Part of the Canadian National Anthem best sums up my feeling of the country, "The True North Strong & Free..." The people are strong willed and open minded. Immigrants to Canada are encouraged to bring with them their culture and beliefs, making for a stronger more tolerate society. I fell in love with California the first time I set foot in Santa Clara for a swim meet years ago. From snow capped mountains, to the searingly hot desert, to the Pacific Ocean, California has a little of everything. The trick to living in L.A. specifically, is to recognize the entertainment industry for what it is, and to accept it with a grain of salt. If you can do that, then you can lay back, relax and soak up the warm SoCal sunshine. GIO What is the best part about being in this business for you? And, the worst? Eddie Like anything, it is what you want it to be for you. Being an entrepreneur, I've loved the crash courses I've received in film production, photography, editing, marketing & promotions etc. just by being around it. The industry still has some growing to do however in terms of representation for models, benefits and proper financial compensation... a union, much like S.A.G. (Screen Actors Guild) exists for the acting community. GIO Do you get recognized a lot in public? If so, how is that experience for you?

Eddie I get recognized more than I expect to, and in places I wouldn't expect to. It usually catches me off guard, but I'm very flattered whenever someone goes out of their way to say something to me. GIO What is the most positive thing that has happened to you as a result of your porn career? Eddie Like I mentioned earlier, I've picked up a lot of skills in a lot of different areas. What to do, and not to do. The hardest lesson I've learned to do is to put a monetary value next to my 'worth' as a performer, and to be able to negotiate that amount. GIO What advice do you have for anyone wanting to become a porn performer? Eddie To do it only if you are 100% sure that it will never bother you that there will ALWAYS be a movie out there with you naked and having sex. Otherwise, go for it! GIO Is there are particular co-star you have worked with that stands out as a favorite? Eddie I've been fortunate to work with some of the top names and some great guys. Two stand out in my head, Filippo Romano and Jason Hawke.

GIO Aside from your career in porn, what are you passionate about in life these days? Eddie Seeing the end of the Bush Administration! GIO If I were to ask your two closest friends what your best qualities are, what would they tell me? Eddie That I'm non-judgemental, and I roll with the punches! GIO What would they tell me is you greatest opportunity for improvement? Eddie Knowing when to say 'no'. GIO What do you consider is your best physical feature and your worst? Eddie My eyes and the backs of my knees. GIO Is there one particular fantasy that you have yet to fulfill in life? If so, what is it? Eddie There are many, but one big one is to walk into a fire station and get ravaged by firemen. GIO You recently signed on with FabScout Entertainment to manage film, print and live appearance bookings for you, what made you decide to go with a talent manager/agent at this point in your porn career? Eddie I was referred to FabScout by friend and fellow porn star, Troy Moore. Recently separated from Rascal, I was on my own in terms of bookings etc, and a couple of conversations with Howard (FabScout) convinced me that this would be a good move. GIO If you could pick any place to go on your next vacation, where would it be and why? Eddie Hawaii, to see firsthand why it's been dubbed 'Paradise on Earth'. GIO If there was one famous person either living or dead that you could meet with for an hour, who would they be and why? Eddie Nelson Mandela. Simply because he is so accomplished and stands for many things I believe in. GIO Dogs or cats? Eddie Dogs GIO Boxers or briefs? Eddie Commando GIO Lights on or off during sex? Eddie I've become so used to having stadium style lights beating down on me during sex... it'd be weird in the dark.
