Gio goes Below the Belt with Jake Cruise for a revealing interview.

Once again it has been a porn filled week in South Florida.  One of the internets most popular “amateur” sites www.jakecruise.com was in town filming some of our local talent and I had a chance to meet with Jake himself for lunch at Hamburger Mary’s and bring you the dish on this popular site, working here in South Florida and his new offering to the gay community.

GIO     Jake, thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to have lunch with me today.  Tell the readers what JakeCruise.com is and how it came to be. 

JC       Well Jake Cruise is about me I guess.  It is about the fact that I am an average Joe in his mid 40’s who gets to play around with some of the hottest guys on the Internet.  That is basically the premise.  There are many scenes that I am not included in totally, but for the most part everyone will see Jake appear in some manner. 

GIO     Cool.  So when did the site launch? 

JC       It was created over 3 ½ years ago and going steadily ever since.  We have over 145 scenes available right now and we also sell DVD’s off the website. 

GIO     What prompted you to launch this site and get into the adult industry later in life? 

JC       Actually I was advised by my shrink!  At the time I was having some financial problems and my therapist said “do you have anything against porn?” and I said no and he then said to me “why don’t you make a porn website.”  Prior to this I was a professional web designer and so I decided to go ahead and give it a try.  It was not an overnight success, it was a little over a year before I got into the groove.  At first I was just a site that showed other peoples content and then I started to create my own Solo/JO stuff for the site.  But, there was already so much of that out there and I pulled all of that down and created the character Jake Cruise and started over. 

GIO     Very cool.  So Jake Cruise was created for what purpose? 

JC       It was created to have fun and the site needed some personality and that is why I created Jake Cruise.  One thing that we really strive for on the site is to have fun.  My goal is not to just create porn and make money, but to show the fun side of sex.  Many people edit out the bloopers and I leave all that stuff in to keep it real. 

GIO     What is the best blooper moment? 

JC       Well the bed fell during a shoot in Canada and I left that in for the viewers.  It is more real that way and that stuff happens in real life.  The bed broke while we were having sex and fell right to the floor…I said, keep the cameras rolling. 

GIO     I have actually been a fan of your site for a couple years and also a paying member.  How do you attract all the totally hot guys that you have doing scenes for you and with you?

JC       Well they just take one look at me and fall in love (Laughing loudly with a slight grin).  No, not really.  Initially I would put ads in local papers and stuff like that.  My first shoot was done here in Fort Lauderdale over 3 years ago and back then I just approached certain people with it.  Now that the site has been up for a few years and gaining popularity I have a lot of guys that apply to be a model right on the site and I also get referrals from other models.  And every once and a while I will work with an agency, like here in Fort Lauderdale.  I just finished using FabScout Entertainment www.fabscout.com here in Fort Lauderdale and we did 4 shoots here.  Howard from FabScout provided me models and negotiated the location for the shoot to be at the Coconut Cove Guest House www.coconutcoveguesthouse.com.  Jerry and Shane from the Coconut Cove were great and using FabScout was a big help for this shoot. 

GIO     That is great to hear, since FabScout helps to sponsor my column.  Plus, Howard is a great guy and I also love the guys at the Coconut Cove.  I know you were here for the Internext Conference as well, how was that experience for you? 

JC       Well the hotel was absolutely gorgeous (Westin Diplomat, Hollywood FL) it was one of the nicest hotels I have ever been too.  I got to meet with a lot of people that I know from the industry and some new ones.  The parties were quite fun and overall it was good.  I go to the big one in Las Vegas in January and at that one I really party more. 

GIO     What is the next big thing for Jake Cruise, anything new and exciting? 

JC       Not so much for www.jakecruise.com but for my Company Jake Cruise Media.  We launched a new site last week called Straight Guys for Gay Eyes and it is at www.sg4ge.com this site is very different because it is straight porn made for gay men.  On this site you will not see straight guys sucking dick or being gay for pay.  It is strictly straight porn; but it is shot with the emphasis on the guys and the girls, for the most part, keep their clothes on.  You will see a little of the girl now and then because you cannot avoid it, but mostly it is focused on the guy.  The guys on this site are really hot. 

GIO     Well I appreciate you sending me the link to that site before this interview and after checking it out, it is very HOT!  I usually do not like straight porn, but the guys are totally hot and the way you shoot the scenes with focused attention on the guy, rather than the girl, gives the gay viewer a chance to see a straight man in all his glory. 

JC       Great, I am glad you liked it! 

GIO     Well I wish you the best with that.  So where are you located?

JC       My main residence is Philadelphia and I have a studio there.  My main office and studio is in Los Angeles in North Hollywood and I also do shoots down here in Fort Lauderdale and Miami because I have a condo in Miami.  I also go on location in Chicago and Seattle. 

GIO     Now for some fun questions; Boxers or Briefs?

JC       On a model I like briefs…on me I prefer none, but if I have to wear them, briefs.

GIO     Do you have one fantasy that…

JC       I will stop you right there…TWINS!  Identical Twins are my ultimate fantasy…hot!  I just want to be their bologna and have them as the sandwich.

GIO     If you had your choice of any porn star to work with, who would it be?

JC       Ummm… Probably Rex Chandler, if anyone remembers who he was.  He is pretty hot.

GIO     I know who Rex Chandler is…well I do not know him literally, but yeah he is pretty hot. (Rex was a big porn star in the early 90’s, he is now married and retired from gay porn)

JC       He is my all time favorite.

GIO     If I were to contact a couple of your close friends and asked them to describe you as a person, what would they tell me?

JC       Uh… Driven, Crazy and always thinking of the next big thing.

GIO     Outside the porn industry what are you most passionate about?

JC       Animal Rights.

GIO     That is great!  If you could be any animal what would you be?

JC       Dolphin

JC       Well probably 30 years and up.  Since I am over 40, they need to be a mature man as well.
