The Real Deal on Levi Crocker
"A-List: Dallas" Star Talks Nude Photo
-by Troy Maillis

Levi Crocker "A-List: Dalls"Scandal is nothing new in the entertainment world—especially the reality entertainment world.  Just ask Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton or Reichen Lehmkuhl. With racy photos and raunchy videos hitting the net in such abundance, showing off one’s goodies shouldn’t be such a big deal, right? During “A-List: Dallas,” one of the stand-out stars had a little—or big—scandal of his own.  It wasn’t so much the fact that it was a nude photo, but more that there was speculation without any confirmation.  Was it or wasn’t it him? Internet bloggers and a slew of comments followed suit. Scandal can sometimes make or break a star, but in the end it’s all how one handles the situation. When nude photos of Madonna broke in Playboy and Penthouse in 1985, she made it her own.  In a recent interview, Levi opened up about the experience of working in reality television, his nude photo scandal, staying involved with rodeos, his Inchwear line and his plans for the future.

The first season of “A-List: Dallas” just finished. What was your experience like working on the show?

It was interesting. I just wanted to see that platform about how the production of it all worked. It was definitely a great experience.

Do you think that you played into a stereotype on the show?

I think the show and other people portrayed me as a much bigger slut than I actually was. Other people were doing worse things than me.

Do you think you were a slut?

I don’t think I was, no.

So that takes us to the big scandal during the show.  That naked picture—was it you?

Yes it was me, and I don’t see it as a bad thing at all.  I’m certainly not in the minority of people who have released nude photos. Taylor [Garrett ] was the one who released the photo. I sent it to him when we were hooking up and then it just suddenly showed up online.

Levi Crocker's "Scandalous" PhotoDid you think a photo like that could potentially hurt any future career endeavors?

No, not at all. Like I said before, I don’t see it as a big deal. It’s just a naked picture. I was actually thinking of taking the photo and putting it on the website guyswithfries.com . Everyone should start looking for it soon [laughs]. But for the most part I’m already over it.

Were you approached to do porn after the photo leaked?

Not by any company.  Fans have left comments on my Facebook page about possibly getting involved in it, but it’s not really something I’ve seriously considered. I mean, I definitely wouldn’t do the hardcore sex scenes, but I would consider doing a professional nude photo shoot.

Now that we’ve got that covered, let’s talk about some of your future goals. What can we look forward to from Inchwear? You’ve already done some amazing things.

Yes, 2011 was a great year. For 2012, we’ve made some great decisions for expanding our selections. We will have new T-shirts, underwear and maybe some board shorts for the spring line. We are continuously expanding the brand, we have nationwide locations and our Internet sales have been great.

How has life been in Dallas since the show? Do you have a boyfriend?

I can’t say that I’m actively looking for a boyfriend right now, but if someone came along I wouldn’t turn it down.  There’s just so much going on in my life right now.  I’m traveling a lot and it really doesn’t make sense to have a boyfriend right now.

What kind of things would you want in a boyfriend?

I like someone who is willing to have a good time and go with the flow—that’s a really big turn on to me. I also like someone who can be rugged with me—someone I could take camping or out on a sail boat. I’m kind of a neat freak, so he definitely has to take care of himself.

Back to the world of reality television. Would you do the show again?

I would definitely do it again—I hope we do a Season 2.  I think Season 2 of “A-List: New York” was better than Season 1. All signs are pointing to another season. The numbers are there and everyone was happy with the way Season 1 turned out. I see a Season 2 out there.

Are there any cast members you are not looking forward to seeing again?

As much as Taylor gets on my nerves, he’s a big part of the show. He’s one of a kind—a unicorn.

Is there any possibility of sparking up another romance with him?

Not in any form or fashion.  We’ll be lucky if I’m even going to be able to be in the same room with him again [laughs].

In addition to reality television and working with Inchwear, what are some of the other projects you are pursuing?

I’m involved with the International Gay Rodeo Association (IGRA), and I hope to do some announcing for them this year. I should be in the Fort Lauderdale area sometime in April for a few events, so look for me then.  Other than that, I’m just looking forward to a great year with lots of opportunities.
