Ever wonder how the models in magazines always look so fresh and
inviting? Just ask 23 year old Lesdyan Cordovi, one of Miami's
up and coming photographers who is making a splash on the Miami
scene. We sat down with him as he talked to us about everything
from the Miami Limelight to Cordovi Photography.
How long have you been taking pictures?
I've been doing this for over 4 years now.
What do you look for in a model?
Confidence is a must, energetic and they can't be shy. Just have
fun with it.
What are your interests?
I mostly lean towards fashion photography at the moment, but I
don't limit myself to it. Head shots, and Lifestyle shots are
also within my interests.
Boxers or Briefs?
Boxer Briefs.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I see myself opening up a studio, traveling the world, and
making a family.
What do you like about the South Florida Night Life
scene?
I like to have a good time, so I'd say its a great way to start
and end the weekend.
Who inspires you?
I would have to say David LaChapelle, Mark Liddell, and
Mike
Ruiz.
Aesthetically, what sets you apart from other
photographers?
Well, I build a great connection with the client before the
shoot, that way it wont be uncomfortable for neither of us.
Therefore, the shots come out natural with that candid feel,
unlike those pre posed shots you see every now and then.
What locations do you prefer to work at? Why?
My work mostly revolves around natural lighting, so
I'm mostly
shooting outside. That's where I can get that natural glow you
see in my work.
What do you like to do on your leisure time?
There's plenty to do in Miami. The beach, movies, nightclubs,
and outings with friends. A bit of everything. |
