Javier de Echenique-Vico was born in Madrid Spain in a family of
artists. His grand father was the secretary general of the Prado
Museum, his mother a painter and his father one of the founders
of several TV and radio stations in Spain. The unique artistic
environment he grew up in afforded him the opportunity to
develop an eclectic Mediterranean style that influences his work
to this day.
Javier founded Echenike Design in Buenos Aires and carried out
more than 20 projects in Switzerland, Argentina and New York
City. His house in Palermo Soho was featured on the cover of D &
D, the most prestigious design magazine in South America. Among
his clients are Citibank Blockbuster, Fiat, Lancia and Alfa
Romeo.
Recently established in South Florida, Javier is dedicating
himself to Interior architecture, office space design, the
hospitality industry and applying his personal style in new and
evolving ways. Javier's work is also featured in the October
issue of Florida Design Magazine.
