ArtsUnited’s Starving Artists Sale Sept. 30
ArtsUnited will host a “Starving
Artists Sale” on Saturday, September 30, 2006 from 1 to
4 PM in the Gay and Lesbian Community Center, 1717 N.
Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL. Admission is free
and open to the public.
The
deadline for Artists interested in
participating was September 15, 2006
The
Starving Artists Sale is an opportunity for the public
to buy original artwork at bargain prices. Dozens of
local artists will be selling their paintings, prints,
and photographs at this one day only event for $100 or
less. ArtsUnited President, Chuck Williams explains,
“Many people come to our exhibitions and admire a
particular artist, but can not afford to spend a
thousand dollars for a painting. At the same time, many
artists have dozens of paintings just sitting in their
studio that they are anxious to sell. The Starving
Artist Sale helps out both the artists and aspiring
collectors.”
Artist
Robert Felthaus agrees, “I’m glad to sell any piece of
work. I hope to establish a rapport with my buyers so
they’ll buy more from me in the future.”
The
Stonewall Library and Archives will also have a used
book sale at this event. Cash and credit cards will be
accepted. All purchases must be taken removed that day.

named Fabrizio. Your group will be swept away to Italy where true love and
marriage abound in this contemporary, witty and elegant production. Individual
