Metro
Pictures: Part 2
You
may be wondering if this show has to deal with the Metro
Golden Mayer Production Company…no. Metro Pictures
“refers to snapshots of the city” and that the works
“define, interpret and/or reject the city.” This show
is wide open to interpretation and includes stuff like a
set of musical vests that “only when two participants
wear them…do the sculptures emit sound.” The exhibit is
on display at the Museum of Contemporary Art until
September 17th. The Museum is located at 770
NE 125th Street in North Miami. You can
either call 305*893-6211 or visit them on the web at
www.mocanomi.org for further information.

Emerging Cinemas Presents
Based on
the novel by Ruth Rendell, Aurore Clément, this French
romantic thriller will have you on the edge of your
seat. Handsome young man, Phillippe, still living at
home with his mother and two sisters, has a promising
career ahead of him. At the wedding of his sister Sophie
he meets her stunning but strangely aloof bridesmaid,
Senta, and it is love at first sight. But Senta’s life
and past is shrouded in mystery, and she tells him
stories about herself that seem unbelievable. Then she
declares that as proof of their love to each other, each
of them should kill a total stranger. But is this just
another of Senta’s wild stories? And how far is Philippe
willing to go, even as his love for her seems to know no
limits?
