Amina,
a simple village girl, is believed to be unfaithful
to her lover, but she is vindicated when it is
discovered that her nighttime wanderings are carried
out in her sleep. Bellinin created a beautiful score
of true bel canto style that has attracted leading
colortura sopranos since its premiere in 1831.
Soprano leah Partridge ( La Traviata 2003, Lucia di
Lammermorr 2005, Rigoletto 2006) returns to Florida
Grand Opera as the famous sleepwalker in a new and
exciting production directed by same Renata Scotto,
and conducted by Richard Bonynge, whose wife, Dame
Joan Sutherland, was also a famous Amina. |

commentary. A cross between the Capitol Steps and
Sex in the City, the Kinsey Sicks have toured
nationally and internationally. Their Off-Broadway
show, "Dragapella" was a hit at New York's Studio
54, and in 2006 they completed a critically
acclaimed run at the Las Vegas Hilton. Their concert
film, "Kinsey Sicks: I Wanna Be a Republican,"

Courtenay Budd, soprano, Donna Balson, soprano,
Marcin Bronikowski, baritone, Gaston Rivero, tenor
Selected arias and orchestral excerpts from favorite

Courtenay Budd, First Prize winner in the 2001 Young
Concert Artists International Auditions and
recipient of a grant from the William Matheus
Sullivan Foundation.Ms. Budd has appeared in the
Spoleto Festival, Italy, she was a Metropolitan
Opera Finalist and has also appeared at the Kennedy
Center. Donna Balson, a unique Australian talent,
combines a wonderfully rich, warm sound with extreme
musicality and poise. With lead roles in opera
companies such as Opera Queensland, Australian
Opera, Oper Frankfurt, Dusseldorf Opera and the
Sydney Festival, she records for EMI. Bronikowski,
born in Poland, has won major competitions in Spain,
Belgium, Norway, Finland, in Warsaw where he
appeared with Jose Carreras, and with Maestro Carlo
Bergonzi at Teatro alla Scala in Milan. Gaston
Rivero trained at the conservatory in Buenos Aires,
won the Metropolitan Opera auditions, and made his
European debut with the Staatstheater Nurnberg in
Madame Butterfly. In the US, he sung La Boheme on
Broadway, and appears often in such venues as
Lincoln Center & Carnegie Hall. |
