Key West's Upper
crust is certainly not your average
pizza place. The toppings are much like
anything in Key West, a little bohemian.
Ever had baby clams on a pizza? How about baby shrimp? Meats
also include Canadian bacon, hamburger and the usual Italian sausage and
pepperoni. There are five cheeses, eighteen vegetables and one fruit, all
available for topping.
The
pizzas are mostly named after important people involved in the evolution of Key
West. For example, the Truman that was created for
the meat lover with a tantalizing combination of hamburger, sliced pepperoni and
spicy Italian sausage, the Roosevelt a classic combination of fresh
buffalo mozzarella, fresh basil leaves, sliced tomatoes and fresh garlic or the
Whitehead, a local favorite consisting of portabella mushroom and
delicious sundried tomatoes that are rounded off with some freshly chopped
garlic. My favorite is the Simonton with pepperoni and sliced baby
mushrooms.
The menu also includes a few salads and loads of calzones made
with the same ingredients you see mentioned above. But stick with the pizza and
tell them the gang at Mark's List sent you!
