Between The Pages

the ruinsThe Ruins

I have always asked people, What would be worse for your kids?… Have Stephen King tell them a Bedtime Story or have Anne Rice explain the Birds and the Bees?  I love the reactions I get.  Well, with that being said, a book that is called, by Stephen King himself, The Best Horror novel of the new century… it must be good!  Enter Scott Smith’s The Ruins.  This is the story of two 20-something couples that have an ill-fated Mexican vacation that leads to the jungle.  Recently out in paperback, this book will give you the heebie-jeebies.  For more information, go to www.randomhouse.com/kvpa/ruins
