Angela Farinelli at Storks

ArtsUnited and Storks Bakery Wilton Manors are proud to present the works of Angela Farinelli.  Angela’s work is known to the readers of this column as the artist first seen down in The Gallery of the Unknown Artist down in Hollywood, FL, where I featured her and others as my favorites of their permanent collection during Bubba Click’s Skin Deep exhibit.

I had described the painting Cowpokes, which is similar to Cowboys as “…a comical representation of the dreams of the newly formed Brokeback Generation.  I find it lighthearted and fun, almost the kind you would have in a personal bar area.”  The best part of her exhibit this time, along with Cowboys is Cowgirls.  We can’t leave out our Lesbians, and literally, it is just as good as Cowboys—just girls.  The one looks like Cynthia Nixon from Sex in the City.  What you will find different between these and Cowpokes from The Gallery of the Unknown Artist, is that there is no frame and actually bleeds around.  With no frame, you can place it against any colored surface you would like and look good and match other artwork you have.

Just a little bit about Angela, she was born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts and then raised in the West Palm Beach area.  She now calls Oakland Park her home.  She attended Palm Beach Community College and completed her Associate’s Degree in Graphic Design.  She works with murals for business and does specialty works for private collectors—all the while ties her love of painting with her professional work.  Angela enjoys painting the human figure amongst other subjects and says that her work is universal, appealing to men and women, straight or gay.  She had exhibited at Oakland Park Art Festival, Blue Moon Lounge, and many exhibits by ArtsUnited.

Currently Angela is on exhibit at Storks Wilton Manors, Items to Envy on Wilton Drive, and The Gallery of the Unknown Artist in Hollywood, FL.  If you are interested in purchasing any of the artwork contact ArtsUnited at www.artsunitedonline.com, Keith at Items to Envy, or Ceci at The Gallery of the Unknown Artist

ArtsUnited is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that uses the arts to present a positive message about the gay and lesbian community.  They are located at 1350 E Sunrise Blvd, #145, Ft. Lauderdale or you can call 954*530-2723.
